I have been on the email list for about a year now, and this caught my eye. I'm not a Pepsi drinker (or Coke, Mt. Dew, Dr. Pepper, etc), but after looking at the Moxie Day thread over and over, looks like quite a few people are into soda. Well, here's where soda and preservation mix. This is from the newsletter I got today;

"American Steam Railroad has applied and been accept for the Pepsi Refresh Project in the 25,000 dollar category. Currently we are in 87th place and need your help.
In order to win the 25,000 we need place in the top 15 leaders by September 30, 2011.

How can you help us out?
1. Go to http://www.refresheverything.com/americansteam and place your vote every day till the end of the month. You are only allowed 1 vote per day, but think about it, if each one of you from this list voted it can push us to the top very quickly.
2. Please pass this email onto your friends and family members. Only in mass votes will the American Steam Railroad have a chance of being in the top 15 at the end of September to receive the 25,000 dollar award.
3. This one is the most important one.
Pepsi has a item called Power Voting. When you purchase a Pepsi, Diet Pepsi or Pepsi Max with the Refresh Everything label with the Yellow Cap or can carton its worth a lot of votes to us. Inside the cap or can carton is a code that is worth votes that range from 5 to as many as 100 votes per code!!
Here is the link to the Pepsi site showing how the power vote works: http://www.refresheverything.com/power-vote
How Does this Work?
We are allowed to enter up to 10 of these codes each day and just think if its the 100 vote codes and there are 10 of them we could have 1000 people voting in one day. When the time resets again for the next day we can enter more codes.
It gives us the upper hand and only take a few minutes for you to send us the codes to bruce.bryan@americansteamrailroad.org
Please consider supporting us in this effort by voting every day and sending us your codes from your Pepsi cartons and bottles.

Best Regards,
Steven M Harvey (President) and the ASR Board Members "

Folks,

Voting is pretty simple, especially if you're on FB or Twitter. We would really appreciate your support in helping us reach this next goal in the restoration of the 1352. Please spread the word as every vote counts!

Sincerely,

Rob Gardner

Keep up the voting! We were up to 76th and have slipped to 77th but we're still climbing in the polls!
