When the historic Carson City shops were destroyed several years ago, a couple of enginehouse doors were reportedly saved. At that time, the plan was to place them as decoration on the side of a new municipal building. Was this ever done? What happened to the doors? Any photos? What is the lot where the enginehouse sat being used for today?

At least one (possibly two) sets of doors were saved and are stored inside the storage shop of the Nevada State Railroad Museum. Take the shop tour that they offer, as the doors are featured on the tour. They are leaning up against a wall.

Lot is still very much vacant as of June 16th.
