To translate, by next friday at the earliest, maybe earlier if the volunteers keep putting all the effort in.

It was updated today. There is a very nice photo of a beautifully rebuilt Mikado in the sunshine, getting close to completion and being prepared for a test steaming.

The 3025 really looks GREAT! Congrats to the Valley shop forces! Just curious; does Valley have a genuine steam-era New Haven caboose that she can be paired off with on occassion?

Truely nice looking locomotive. After looking at the latest outside photo, what impresses me is that they only set the wheels back under the frame 3-4 weeks ago? Might be wrong, but it was not very long ago. Those who know how much work it takes to finish a locomotive know what I mean. Wish I had been involved as the project leadership must of been awesome! Anybody who had had the pleasure of working with good leadership knows this value.

A friend involved sent many pics of the machine work as it progressed so have been kind of watching this one. This was not a new jacket and fresh paint rebuild, they did it right and an awful lot of work has been done, from what I know, top to bottom. This is why who ever was the project manager deserves a salute from all of us. Not trying to kiss up to anybody, but successful rebuilds should be studied by people who are trying to learn how. Not only the nuts and bolts, but how to go about leading the project and making it all come together, rather than imitating "Laurel and Hardy". A snappy salute to all involved! Cheers, John.
