This outfit can move diesel and steam engines up to 75 tons and Pullman cars.. and has moved dozens, including the West Va. Northern steamers. And there's at least one railfan working in the Carlisle, Pa. office.........

75T is not that much when it comes to locomotives. A GP9 is around 120, and for reference an S1 is 99..

With regard to the original warning, and I did look up East Texas Shipping (WHEW!), has word of this company reached the people at Age of Steam Museum, in Dallas, heading to Frisco? The locos are going by BNSF rail, but I don't know about other equipment.

I don't know specifics about "age of Steam", but, spread the word about East Tex Shipping.

With all due respect here to everyone unless I am missing something I typed in "East Tex Shipping" to google. First off all I found was 2 pages of results. Of those 2 pages only 2 links came up that said anything bad about them. The first was a link to this site referring to their reputation and the second was a link to here;
http://www.419legal.org/fraudulent-webs ... fraud.html

I am not saying that it isn't true and would encourage if doing business with them that you proceed with caution, but with such few if any details about the dealing on that website for all we know this thing could have just as easily been written by a disgruntled ex employee, customer from hell trying to blackmail them or even competitor!

No idea either way with these people but what if it isn't true and they are indeed a legitimate company trying to make an honest living? Unless I am missing something more condemning without firm proof or even first hand knowledge about this company it just doesn't seem right to now have this site continuing to defame the company based solely on hearsay.

Please reread my post. My advice was to do your homework - I DID NOT express an opinion good or bad.
