All, enjoy this gorgeous piece produced and shot by my cohort, legendary photographer, Bob Krist. Some of you may recall Bob as host of my Restoration Stories program on PBS, from his many beautiful books on travel photography, or as host/photographer of Nikon's long-running Nikon School video series. In this 5-minute clip, Bob follows the NH&I crew as they bring the 40 back into service after her latest overhaul. Very nice job by Paul Harland describing not only the process, but why we love steam. Everything you will see in this video was shot using Nikon DSLR's, D5100 and D7000.

Enjoy!

Would be nice to see a "Restoration Stories" on the NH&I 1533, now that would make great television!

Really enjoyed that. Perfect length for the average viewer to draw them in. I could wish for more. Excellently done.

It is enjoyable to see the final result of all the hours of filming by Mr. Krist that I saw take place. I am very impressed with how well it turned out. Somewhat surprising to me is how many of my friends showed the video to me! People that I know aren't foamers and aren't interested in trains have somehow found it and forwarded it to me. Absolutely fantastic, Stephen please pass along my regards if you could and thanks for posting the link for us to see here.
