I've got a 100# diamond in the Seattle / Portland area that will be available, at scrap prices, for a VERY SHORT time. If you need one, let me know and I can provide details.

The angle is probably in the 60 to 75 degree range (not 90). If there's interest, I can try and get a more accurate measurement.

Please tell us which 100 pound rail section it is, and if possible, the construction or type of frogs.

What is the estimated cost of the diamond.And do you know of any way of delivery to a point east of the Mississippi river as I live in Florida and could make the trip that distance to pick it up. I do not need the flat steel plank that the diamond sits on.

The rail section is 100RE. However, I think your main concern would be the angle of the diamond, not the section. Some relay comp bars can solve the rail section problem. The angle cannot be changed.

So, what is the angle? I don't really know. ROUGHLY 60 degrees? (Definitely not 90). It not even clear to me if this is a curved diamond, or a straight diamond that was tweaked a bit during installation as part of a curve. My guess is that it was the latter.

Cost is an unknown. Basically, I'd sell it for scrap value, since it's going to be scrapped real soon.

Shipping it to Florida? No idea but my instinct tells me it's not a viable option...

Fair warning, this thing is going away very soon... Thought we had it sold to Harmer Steel but they decided not to purchase it, since diamonds are pretty much white elephants.

This is exactly what I need will try to get some kind of shipping rate.Would it be shipped in one piece or would it be broken down and crated. This might be to much trouble for you. Also the weight? Any Idea? and your cost?

It's already broken down. It's in the scrap bin, and will be going away in a day or two. I don't have a good weight, and don't have time to research freight weights. Even broken down, it's big and very heavy. You're looking at taking up a lot of deck space and weight on a truck, which means a lot of cost.

Basically, this is an as-is, where is deal. I wish I'd have been able to provide a lot more notice or details, but we thought the material was sold. We've got to the move the scrap off site this week, and it needs to go out when that happens.

It was a long shot, but I thought that maybe somebody on the west coast was in need of one. The likelihood of that was very slim, that's why the supplier we offered it too didn't want it.
