Have you been looking for a reason to join TVRM? There are many, but coming up on Saturday, September 14 is as good a reason as any. TVRM will be having a special get together for its members at Grand Junction. Included in the festivities will be motor car rides, velocipede rides, GP7 cab rides, guided tours of the exhibit car, a big cookout and picnic in the pine grove, chances to win door prizes such as steam cab rides, and a members only trip to East Chattanooga pulled by #610. During the layover at E. Chattanooga, an extensive backshop tour will be given by employees and volunteers explaining every aspect of our restoration activities. (There may be a surprise visit by the brand new smokebox for SR #630!) Want to see the most complete steam locomotive wheel shop in North America? Here's your chance! The evening will be topped off with a twilight steam run back to Grand Junction.

TVRM has been involved in many "foreign" steam restorations lately including: OHCR 6325, FRISCO 1522, SOO 2719, and many more. Most of our contract shop work has been reprofiling drivers, but several flue swaging jobs have been completed in the recent past. The latest is evident in the return to steam of NYS&W 142!

From the photos on your website and the shops update pics, it's readily apparent TVRM has both a first-rate facility and a fine spit-n'-polish equipment roster.

Definitely on my A-list of places to see.
