There's some great stuff happening in Germany in regards to steam. Here is a video of a German Steam Festival in Nossen that features quite a few large steam engines run in choreographed style. Steam includes a Class 03 (4-6-2) passing through with a passenger train, another Class 03, a Class 50 (2-10-0) and a Class 52 (2-10-0) all running in various combinations choreographed style.

These are provided by a chap going by Bidone 1967 who has quite a few high quality vids of German steam.

I know that Cass puts on some choreographed steam events. Does anyone else in the US (or anywhere for that fact) put on choreographed steam events?

Here is Part 1 showing steam showcased on the turntable and yard.

Neat video.
I enjoyed watching German steam when I was over there in the Army from '63-'65. Got a dandy ride from the troop ship in Bremerhaven to Stuttgart behind one of their big 4-6-2s and kept getting hollered at through the night for opening the window to listen to the engine working and smell the coal smoke.
People just don't appreciate the finer things in life. Liked those hooter whistles.

Why is that 03 at the very beginning missing its tender?

Mt Rainier Scenic Railroad does that sort of thing on occasion during special events.

However, due to limitations of the track it's done at low speed and only for a fairly short distance.

This image is seen quite often, our website, online, in print and even in a brochure for the sale of the Mt Hood Scenic RR (Wrong railroad!)

A more recent event with three engines. This is a rare shot, Heisler, Climax and Willamette, essentially a Shay. You won't see all three in operation together anywhere else, not even if you allow for a Shay instead of the Willamette.
