The locomotive show below is available on commons.wikimedia.org and is said to be located in "Bolivia". The number plate is a Baldwin plate, I'm quite sure. And the only legend (in Spanish) was: Esta máquina, conocida como la número uno, es la primrera que pasó por dentro del socavón. My Spanish is awful, and Google's translation is not enlightening. Does anybody have an idea what this locomotive is and where in Bolivia it happens to be located?

"This machine, known as #1, was the first to pass through the tunnel."
That's my translation, so best to find a place with a tunnel I'd guess. Shot appears to be from flickr. I'm searching there for more information.

EDIT: Found the original which indicates Pulacayo, Bolivia.

Here is some translated from another website:

http://viajes.turisbo.com/2008/01/pulac ... trial.html

With only 70 cm. high, almost a toy next to a ship at the first locomotive in 1890 circulated Bolivian soil. The Little Engine U.S. "1" was built by "BALDWIN LOCOMOTIVE WORKS" in Philadelphia, named it "Union" is in very good condition, well painted and shining plates. The name probably is because the little machine in linking Antofagasta and Pulcayo Pacific coast, to transport the ore extracted pulacayeño that would be exported from the Pacific.

If her construction number is indeed 14301 that puts her in the 1890's.
