For those seeking some good news...

Here in beautiful Scranton, PA the official opening for the Electric City Trolley excursion extension will be held this thursday (9/19). This extension will take the excursion (which has made many test runs already) through the near-mile long Crown Ave Tunnel to Stafford Avenue. This makes for a roughly 5 mile round trip down the old Lackawanna and Wyoming Valley interurban line. The old trip was about half that distance

For those interested, I believe the Electric City's car #80 has been cleared for operation after recieveing work, but the main operator continues to be the Philly Suburban Transit Car #76.
