So, what's going on now? Well, this Friday, my family and I are leaving for Myrtle Beach. While I'd rather stay home so I can go to work, the routing has presented an excellent opportunity to visit the Virginia Museum of Transportation. While I'm unsure if we will stop on the way down or on our return, as of now VMT is on the map. Myself and my parents have opted not to tell my siblings until we get to VMT, so we don't have to listen to the rants of how my brothers would rather see some of the more historic piece melted down to use as Mountain Dew cans. I should note that the older of my two brothers is the leader, while the younger is the follower, and showing him ANY sort of internal combustion device will turn him to the right side of the force. Just show the older one a car that works better than his 86 Cadillac, and he'll shut right up (considering the timing and exhaust valves are so screwed up that the blasted thing can't stay on while in park). I'll probably know the final plan on Thursday.

Just an update, but the visit to VMT might be on our return trip. Looks like on the way down we might be stopping by the Old Dominion NRHS Chapter's museum in Richmond on our way down.

Not to be too critical, but this looks like it might be better suited to Facebook?

There's not really a whole lot of railway preservation content here, other than that you're stopping by a museum.

After the visit, you might share some photos and or comments on the museum, things of a more general interest to the group as a whole.
