Yes, mine.

http://www.trainweb.org/j.dimech/roster/

all preserved engines are listed at the bottom of each page for each wheel arrangement in the Steam Roster. I have also transcribed a couple of official CNR Motive Power reports.

I also have Mechanical Department Diagrams for most classes of CN steam power, and some info on CNR Diesels as well (ALCo/MLW and Fairbanks Morse/CLC)

"Has any of the model manufacturers ever released a model of one of these CN steamers?"

PFM/Van Hobbies brought in a Samhongsa version in 1976. You find them on ebay quite often.

I believe Division Point mentioned plans for doing a run of CNR Mountains including the U-1-f class, although I wasn't able to find any note of that on their recently revamped site.

Well another season has come to a close. I finish off this years work with two pictures showing her looking much better than she has in many years! She now sports her imitation gold trim on the nose cone, running boards and cab sides.

Can I assume her cab is semi-permanently sealed off? A good move in my opinion.
I'm certain everybody on this board really appreciates the work of the volunteers and contracted personnel on these CNR locomotives. Once again, please share a big "Thank you" and "Merci, beaucoup", to all involved.

". . .you and your group have done a fantastic job on her. Just wish she was closer!"

Will she run yet?

Will she run yet?

Will she run yet?

Oh, I know, but we can dream. . .

It would be nice to run it again but the cost would be expensive. I would sooner see her end up in a building one day as part of a local museum of railway history in this area.

this is a before and after shot. The paint was in a really bad way and had to be removed as it was flaking off in large pieces especially on the tender.

Very nice comparative shots of 6069. For want of cost of paint, one can see a real difference.

Thanks Richard.
She is getting more than a simple coat of paint. She is being steadily stripped back to bare steel primed with anti corrosion primer and welding repairs done then painted. We figure theres at least 6 to 8 layers of paint on it. Thought it best to mention this in case anyone thinks we are simply repainting it over the old paint.

FYI George Elwoods "Fallen Flags" website has been running a series of CNR steam photos from the last years of operation. Today (Halloween) there are about eight shots of 6167 in operation.

Please contact me back channel. I have a proper tender light I might be willing to donate to the project, as long as we can guarantee it won't be busted out like the original was many years ago. Talked with a couple guys there in 2010 but haven't been able to get to any of your work sessions, and have lost touch....and I live just on the other side in Port Huron.

Thanks TJ I remember meeting you that day as well. I did send you an email shortly after we met but I didn't hear anything. I have sent you a pm message.
