 Post subject: Three "Railroad Covered Bridges"

Location: Somewhere east of Prescott, AZ along the old Santa Fe "Prescott & Eastern"
These three railroad cars converted into ersatz "covered bridges" turned up at one covered bridge photographer's covered bridge photo website:

I'm betting there are others. These aren't likely prospects for preservation after the modification work, but I can just see some modeler going to the extreme of measuring one of these.....

There was a thread earlier this year initiated by skytop45 (Justin Nelson) which touched on such "railroad covered bridges". That thread was entitled "Not sure this is what they had in mind...." and there were some other covered bridges made from old railroad cars included. Neat way to save some cars that might have been scrapped otherwise!
