Looks good! She seems to be a nice portable size, too.

This is really amazing and York is only a little over an hour away.

Also very pleased to see LYON under construction.....so Kloke Works can design and build radial and crown bar stayed boiilers for small locomotives! This is the kind of resource that can do us all a lot of good.

I'm going to need a throttle valve assembly complete made to a drawing in the next few years. Here's an experienced bidder for that project.

Dave Kloke and crew are really only doing the boiler for the Lyon, the running gear was done at Strasburg. I believe Kloke may have also build much of the tender for the Lyon.

Lest I was misinformed, the chassis for the Lyon was not terribly close to even running on air. There was a frame, boxes, axles, cylinders.....it did roll but much missing to be complete and functioning.

If I am incorrect, please do post a few photos showing the point work was completed to. Heck, please post photos of the work you guys did regardless. Seems a shame that progressive photos of the project are not displayed.

I can't help but wonder, but what's the price tag on the No. 119 replicas anyway? Just the basic design could be modified (visually) to represent a number of early locomotive classes (like the PRR D1, D2/D2a, etc.)...

Any idea as to what they'll be using for cars? Early news stories suggested a consist of five or six coaches, but I can't imagine a locomotive this small pulling that many 20th century steel cars--and not only that, but they just wouldn't go with a little jewel like this.

Could replica cars be in the works as well?

My understanding is that they were trying to get together the funds for at least one replica car. Their Kickstarter went nowhere, darn it. (I didn't even know it was up, which could have been part of their problem.)

As of a year ago, this 1889 Jackson and Sharp arch roof third class coach was still available... and nearby to York!

I was wondering, was there ever a NCRR York engine? Or is this an engine they made up?
