Heres a picture of me last year during the NRHS convention excursion. While the Iowa Interstate Railroad's QJ6988 takes a break in Newton, Iowa. I have been spotted. Funny what you can find out on the internet.

Gary on the left, and Lewis_____ on the right. (sorry Lewis, I'm terrible with names; need a biz card to go along with the intro...)
Nice guys and lots of good Roanoke hospitality!

This thread is an interesting idea. My leap into the pool:

Taken during Flagg Coal 75's first visit to RMNE/NAUG. That's a 1926 Graflex Series C single-lens reflex camera, 3 1/4 x 4 1/4 sheet film. The previous steam loco I shot with this camera was PRR 1223 at Cherry Hill in July 1970.

The joke would be on you--in spite of that sketch, I seldom ever have beer mugs in my hand, save for the 2-3 places that still do "3 different beers $x" specials for happy hour using 10-ounce mugs. And I would be more apt to compare my hair to that of the musical genius Beethoven if I'm too far between shearings than that of the comic genius Harpo Marx.

Finding Sandy is easy. Just say real loud "I hear Riffin is buying GG1 4859 and moving it to Stewartstown." There'll be a blue streak, a flash of light, and there he'll be in front of you.

Shut up. You'll give that nutcase ideas. Besides which, he probably can't buy 4859; that would have to be deaccessioned from the Pa. Historic & Museum Commission, current owners last I knew. (^_^)

Okay, I'll give this a try. Working on cleaning MDT reefer # 13385 and with WCHX #1114, an insulated single dome tank car built in 1919. Pix by fellow Hoosier Valley Railroad Museum member Tom Travis.
