Better off recruiting the one at the Alberta RR museum since it runs. Would like to see 1533 resurrected though. Strangely enough, NH&I has a CN coach, the 4907, which had previously been at BR&W and Steamtown.

More CNR coach stuff from a few months ago:

Coach 4992 was turned out of the shop into service last June, and has been out on the train ever since. So far, there is no evidence of roof leaks or seam problems.

Joe,

We were aware that these cars (in Montreal commuter service) were the last fleet of classic heavyweight coaches to be available. They had good running gear and were generally in decent condition, and therefore existed an opportunity to obtain a matching group of them for our proposed operation. A Museum member/benefactor purchased a large number of these cars and ultimately donated some to RMNE. Others were sold by him to other groups.

The CNR coach fleet has a New England connection (with service on Central Vermont and Grand Trunk lines), and they were in good useable condition, not needing extensive work before they could handle passengers.
