A great railroad at work

I don't know if it has been posted here before, but just to be sure here it is;

It is a pretty neat tour of the New Haven Railroad circa 1942. Those more familiar with the line, where were those shops they showed in the video? Is that outside of New Haven proper or elsewhere? What about the hump yard where was that?

If only someone could get that time machine working I sure want to go back and sit along side that videographer, those were some awesome sights.

By the way watching a little further, that generating station is that the old Cos Cob station that they show in there around 28mins in?

Hump yard was Cedar Hill-- "Largest Freight Yard in New England". Loco and car shops were at Readville, Mass, just outside Boston. Yes, the power plant was Cos Cob.

Obviously, this is one of the "training films" at RMNE.... along with "It Happened To Jane".
