Oh, the old American "Can-Do" spirit is alive and well...trouble is, it's mostly alive in other countries. Not meaning to demean the terrific work being performed by Strasburg, The C&TS, WW&F, and all the other places where restoration work is performed beautifully. But the US, compared with the UK, is MILES behind in appreciation of our Steam heritage.

Are you, in criticizing the ATHS or whoever, offering a viable alternative? Or offering to financially support whoever turns out to be the current "title holder"?
