I am being constantly reminded, whenever I make a crack about how to get rid of criminals, of this country's "due process". But in cases like this, I would say to Hell with due process, let's just shoot the Bas____s when they are caught!!

Here is a link to the Knoxville News Sentinel article:

Sadly they can't even spell Scott's last name correctly, so I tend to hold their coverage somewhat suspect...

The 107's bell might possibly be on one of the Dollywood engines. Not 100% sure, but a possibility. Was told by a coworker when I worked there that at some point anything salvageable was taken off 107 and moved over the hill to the Dollywood shop for storage.

I doubt this will help a great deal, but I made a small video with the basics about what happened to #154, and I uploaded it on YouTube. If people can help spread the video around like they have the Facebook page from the Three Rivers Rambler, who knows? It might help; it might not. At least it's another way to get the word out there.

YouTube video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mbNV44BP3eA

Here's hoping that we find #154's bell and are able to have it returned to #154.

Update:

Southern 154's bell has apparently been recovered and remounted on the locomotive.

Sure is an odd photo, looks like the bell just did a bungee jump over the locomotive...

I'm so happy that #154 has her bell back, and I'm glad that justice prevailed. Thank you very much, Knox County Sheriffs' office! You have made so many steam enthusiasts happy by simply doing your job. Hopefully, we'll soon hear #154 sounding like her ol' self again.

It's almost like that insurance commercial with the dollar on the fishing pole.

There is the bell...oh, oh oh, you almost got it.

In all seriousness glad the bell was returned. And I hope it stays with the locomotive and is attached in a more secure manner.

Junk the steam locomotive, it's tender and the caboose!

I remember reading this on Cockroach2008's youtube profile after seeing the horrible comments he posts on all steam videos and after reading the thread it made me wonder how much of the above is really within his ability to do.

I am ecstatic to hear that 154's bell has been found. I often chase and have ridden the Three Rivers Rambler and they are wonderful people and do a fantastic job! I can't wait to see 154 on the photo charter in August! Congrats to KCSO and Three Rivers Rambler!
