Is this the fellow that owns/owned an Alco RSD-1 that is/was stored at the old IC shops in Paducah, KY?

About 12 years ago there was a rough looking Milwaukee Road F7 visible from the highway at Oak Ridge.But I never heard anything about it since.

Nope, I don't think he ever owned that RSD-1, and yes the MILW F-7 and FP-7 are, I think, still in Oak Ridge.

One of the things that many people don't know about VLIX is that in some cases, entire fleets are bought. Then some are rebuilt and sold off, or others are scrapped, to provide the parts and revenues needed to restore significant locomotives. The SD18s that were mentioned are a good example. A few went for other purposes while one or two still exist. Meanwhile, specific L&N locomotives get rebuilt from this activity. A number of swaps have also been done over the years, often trading a significant locomotive that doesn't fit the collection to get one that does.
