Due to logistical issues this comes 3 days past initial publication.

Press Release:

For immediate release to all railfans.

During the art deco period some railroads broke from tradition and painted locomotive jacket in colour instead of black.
TVRM is pushing the envelope of steam locomotive paint schemes by using a floral print of green and gold for southern 4501. This breaks the sharp lines and softens the overall look of the locomotive. Next year no doubt will find many other steam lines transitioning to patterned paint finishes for their locomotives and no is a precursor to the paint soon to adorn the N&W 611.

There is a precedence on a black five on the Keithley and Worth valley rail way in Yorkshire back in the seventies which was wall papered.

This paint scheme is required for all steam locomotives under the government program, Strategic reserve program. The Strategic reserve program is in the case of Nuclear War and an EMP we can still move troops and equipment to the front. The tree camo is to protect the engine from the enemy!

This will work fine until fall, when the leaves turn color.

Unless they used Mystic paint.
