The Poland thread reminded me that Dyngus Day is about upon us, along with Easter and other Spring related holidays. Many of us run profitable trains for Halloween and Santa trains at Christmas - how many of us run Spring seasonal trains and how well are they attended? I'm thinking a train to a meadow at which passengers get off and hunt eggs or something like that....maybe picnics? What about Midsummer? Harvest? Anything else?

Mt Rainier Scenic RR operates an Easter Bunny Express. It features an egg hunt as well as visit with a rather large rabbit.

We've run it for quite a few years, and it does well. With two weeks to go, our mid-day run is sold out, and the other too are selling fast.

The Pennsylvania Trolley Museum has run a "Bunny Trolley" special event for many years. It runs on the weekend before Easter and the Friday and Saturday of Easter weekend. Details are shown on the PTM website.

The WW&F has an annual Easter Eggspress/Spring Steam Up - usually the Saturday of Easter weekend. We have an Easter Egg hunt at a station along the line. See www.wwfry.org for details.
