Please be a little more specific as Baldwin purchased usage rights to several inventor's reversers and manufactured them under their own name. The brand of reverser was typically chosen by the purchaser of the locomotive and listed on the specification sheet.
Pic is from 1922 Loco cyclopedia showing a Lewis type reverser similar to the one used on BLW shop switcher #26. This was added when the locomotive was sold to Jackson Iron & Steel, as it was built with a Johnson bar.

Sorry Supe...I have manuals for the RS12 and DRS100 BLH and they only show wide views of the whole control area with the handle inserted. No detail is evident.

Stay tuned for a bit. I know that a big, fat U.S. Army manual for the Baldwin VO-1000 (different from Baldwin's own operators' manuals) is in the "inbound from Lee Rogers Estate" pile of boxloads of books in the Md. Rail Heritage Library, because I personally pulled it out of another boxload of cr*p and put it there....... and if not there, we have other Baldwin manuals around.

Just took a quick look at what I have sitting here in this clutterbin in Baldwin documentation and came up empty.

"Stay tuned for a bit. "

Will do. Thanks.

Any recommendations for Inner Harbor seafood (other than Phillips, Rusty Supper or McC & S?)?

Superheater,

Our AS-616 at SMS has a reverser very similar to the one shown in another current thread. All of our switchers (S-12, DS-4-4-1000, etc...) have another style. When I get back to work next week I will try and post pictures of both styles.

Best regards,

Chuck

Thanks so much! I was hoping somebody from "The Fortress" might be reading.

Here are the pictures of the Baldwin Diesel Reversers. There is one picture of the type used on the switchers and 3 of the type used on the road unit.

Best regards,

Chuck
