A month or so ago on the East Broad Top, condition of the McMullin Summit bridge on the operable stretch of mainline led to creation of a new private grade crossing. There was some concern on the part of EBT fans over this crossing because it fouled the track. The crossing has since been fine tuned, and this is it as of Aug 17, 2014:

Glad to see that despite the absence of revenue trains, the EBT group still maintains and improves the line. I wish them the best of luck in preserving this wonderful gem.

Give credit where it is due. The EBT Preservation Association has had nothing to do with the historic EBT since their lease ran out in early 2012. The Kovalchick Family still owns and keeps a very close eye on the East Broad Top.

Sorry friend, but you appear to be putting words in my mouth. I didn't mention the Preservation Association in my post. I actually left it intentionally vague as I understand that current upkeep of the site is a collaborative effort of the Friends group and the Kovalchick family. I only meant to wish luck to the individuals who volunteer their time and energy to preserve such a historic gem. Their efforts do not go unnoticed.

Not trying to put words in anyone's mouth. Trying to head off any confusion about who is doing what with the EBT that seems rampant on other internet boards.
