For those who might be interested, many of the collection remain status quo as of October 18th, 2014. Homeless guy sleeping in the ex-sleeper passenger car. My friend Jeremy Gay took these images. Apparently there is time to grab one or more of these before the inevitable.

Thanks, Richard, for posting the photos and confirming the status quo of said equipment!

Can you confirm if the NYC Budd-built buffet lounge sleeper Rapid Stream (with the missing fluting) is still extant/on site? Thanks in advance!

Also, does anyone from Alco H&TS know the number of the NYC #91xx-series baggage car? Thanks in advance!

Can't confirm, as I was not present. Sorry.

Sorry for the delay folks, had to dig trough some records to find the answer.

Rainier. The NYC number of the car was 9180.

Now in regards to the rest of the situation: The time has finally run out for this equipment. A colleague of mine has worked tirelessly with Canadian Pacific to try to free these pieces from the legal tangling's that they have been stuck in for over a year now. Now that he has been successful in doing so the stuff will need to go away... in the next month. This was originally going to be an effort through our organization to save the RS3 and hopefully at the same time the S2. That scenario has changed and it is likely that most pieces are heading for scrap (the RS3 will be leaving for another party as parts). That being said, there is still time and he is willing to listen to solid offers for removal of some of the pieces. So far the only thing 100% destined for scrap is the "Rapid Stream", but things will move quickly after that. If anyone here has interest in items such as the "Worlds Fair" coach or the B&A commuter coach for preservation please PM me and I will put you in contact with him. The other two items: the S2 and NYC baggage car still have value but he is willing to hear offers for those as well. As I said before, the RS3 will be leaving on a flat car soon, destined to be a parts for an ALCO powered railroad and the black ex. LI S1 is still privately owned. It will likely go to scrap soon as well but I cannot speak on it's behalf.
