Does anyone know the history of a passenger car on the Butte, Anaconda and Pacific Railroad in Montana? Any pictures?

Where in Montana? The one in Anaconda or the one in Alder?

The one in Anaconda is not a historic BA&P car (I think it is former GN). The sole surviving car from the BA&P is at Nevada City (between Alder and Virginia City MT). It is in rough condition right now. I'll rummage in my notes and see if I can post a PDF of what I've researched on the car. Alternately, I can send a PM to those so interested.

Here is a link to an earlier thread. I'm not sure if the cars mentioned in Mike's report include the one you are asking about.

I am looking for information on the 6 axle car in Anaconda. Picture would be great. I guess it has roller bearings?

The car Jack is asking about is located at the City of Anaconda visitors center. The center is in an ersatz rail station appearing building (non historic--though the BA&P and Montana Union depots both survive).

Along with the car, there is also a smelter "push motor" and an ore car on the property.

Photos of the passenger car are at this link: http://www.waymarking.com/waymarks/WMMM ... naconda_MT

The car I'm talking about has roller bearings and on live rail. Any ideas?

I beleive that Jack is talking about a single car up near the roundhouse across from Washoe Park. The car is on live track. I can't get a good view with Google Maps.
