Another Catskill Mountain Railroad--or Railway

This turned up in some Facebook discussion about the Catskill Mountain Railroad--seems there was another narrow gauge road with a very similar name at one time, and there is some effort at a bit of a revival:

Of course, someone suggested in the comments following the article that this could make a great rail trail! Where were they before someone laid this bit of track and showed some interest in reviving a railroad?

IIRC - There is at least one coach extant in Michigan that 464 regularly pulls and possible a couple on the White Pass as well.

Jerry LaBoda's website lists 2 of the WP&Y cars as ex-CMRY:

#218 Lake Atlin, listed by Randall as 23 seat parlor, listed by Jerry as coach.

#220 Lake Dewey, listed by Randall as 22 seat parlor, listed by Jerry as coach.

Both the #218 and #220 are listed by Randall as "on hand in 1900, further history unknown." #222 Lake Lindeman* and #224 Lake Marsh are also listed as "on hand in 1900, further history unknown;" Randall lists both as 22 seat parlors. Looking at the info available, it would appear possible that the #222 and #224 are also ex-CMRY.

*Apparently the spelling was changed from Lake Linderman to Lake Lindeman, as older photos and Randall give the first spelling, while recent photos show the latter spelling.

it'll make a nice "rail trail".....8-P

I checked the book on narrow gauge railroads, there was a previous standard gauge line built but it failed. Narrow gauge won here.
