Would anyone know if anything from the Berwick Freight Car Company exists anywhere? I am looking to find drawings for something they produced.

Was Berwick Freight Car one of those separate subsidiaries set up by AC&F (like Berwick Forge & Foundry was) or a separate company?

If the former, here's your best bet:

I wouldn't be optimistic, however.

Here's some history of Berwick:

On the Modern Freight Cars Yahoo group, there is a gentleman named Dick Dawson who occasionally posts, who worked as an engineer at Berwick, I assume after they became independent from ACF. You may try joining the group and posting your question there:

Mr. Walter Pogue in Lancaster PA is the retired past President of Berwick, I'm sure he could answer your question.....he is a known expert on freightcar design and construction.

Check out this website, Mr. Neubauer has a nice book full of production data and photos of freight car production at the Berwick Forge and Fabricating.

http://eaneubauer.ipower.com/books.htm

Berwick Forge & Fabricating (2013) is an illustrated guide to the railcars built by Berwick Forge & Fabricating and Berwick Freight Car from 1963 to 1993. It has 466 pages and about 475 railcar photographs. It includes a complete production list with a very large number of dispositions. It updates information in the National Railway Utilization Corp. book and includes all Emons (MPA) built kits.

I also have some info on my website as mentioned in an earlier replay

Thanks,
Andrew
