Chadron, NE, Nebraska Northwestern, originally CNW. Active, with turntable. Plans to use some of the space for contract locomotive repair. Has a separate two stall roundhouse facing the same turntable. separated from the primary building by a running track to/from the table. Whisker tracks to table complete the circle.

Another surviving Cleveland roundhouse is on the Newburgh & South Shore near E 71st & Harvard.

Ashtabula, OH has a roundhouse that's now part of a scrapyard. I believe it was PRR. Across the street can clearly be seen the footprint of the much larger NYC roundhouse.

All this is tickling those brain cells, and I recall the former Cumberland Valley (PRR after 1922) roundhouse and shop facility in Chambersburg, Pa. This is or was in use as a grocery store (roundhouse) and refrigerated food storage facility (shop buildings, including the erecting shop).

I don't believe I've seen anyone mention the CSX roundhouse and turntable on the south side of Columbus, Ohio off Parsons Avenue. It's still active as far as I know.

NYS&W - Hawthorne, NJ (actually they called it North Hawthorne) non railroad use at this time. No turntable

CSX / NS or Conrail, former LV? Newark, NJ on the west end of their Oak Island yard. Turntable still in use and what appears to be two stalls of a roundhouse.

EP&SW-Tucson, AZ. Originally built as a 20 stall roundhouse (9 stalls removed). Turntable removed and filled in-building is now a construction company storage site. No track nearby as City of Tucson has pulled most of the rail in preparation for conversion to a bike and walking trail.

There are two turntables in San Diego County.

The first one serves to turn around freight cars for "unload this side only" requirements. It's located on the SD&AE inside the trolley yard and used by SD&IV. Just off of Harbor Drive about 1/3 mile southeast of Petco Park - home of the San Diego Padres.

The second is at the Pacific Southwest Railway Museum in Campo, CA - awaiting installation.

EX CNW roundhouse in Green Bay, Wi with only 4 stalls remaining. Turntable gone. No tracks used by different industry to the best of my knowledge. Been a while since been down there when buying coal down the street a block or so. Fenced in by owner. CN now owns the area but do not think they own the roundhouse remains? Maybe they lease it out? Mid Continents wheel lathe came out of the CN&W GB roundhouse. Kind of mute point I guess.

The two gems in this neck of the woods were the Soo Line shops in North Fondulac and GBW shops in Green Bay. Both sacked when CN took over quite a while back in the 1990s or so.

Looking at Google Earth, it appears the remains of the B&O roundhouse in E. St. Louis, IL is still standing, or what is left of it is standing.

Greetings roundhousers. My name is Paul and I moderate a Facebook group called Roundhouses of Yesteryear and Today.
We locate and digitally map roundhouses, engine houses, and streetcar barns world wide as well as map existing and historical steam, diesel, electric and industrial railways, railroads, interurban and street railways using the .kml format. This format works best on Google Earth but will run on ArcExplorer, ArcGlobe, most GPS devices where uploading is possible and just about anything else that runs .kml. Our work is offered free to anyone and we invite you to join us here: https://www.facebook.com/groups/Roundho ... randtoday/
We hope you will come and share your knowledge and work with us to enhance our database, but just come check us out if that's all you would like. Membership is required, but is also free. The attached image is a screenshot of downtown Toronto with the Canadian National and Canadian Pacific railway roundhouses. Hope to see you there.

There are two in Northwest Indiana, I'm not positive of the railroads.
There is one in the US Steel Gary works, I believe it is Indiana Harbor Belt.

The other is the Elgin, Joliet and Eastern. It's in Hammond In. west of Kenedy ave
and south of US hwy 20.
