Interesting looking at the flat cars that the locomotives are tied down on. Cars appear to have a considerable amount of reverse camber. When I loaded the Chinese QJs the BNSF inspector took exception to less than 1" reverse camber between bolster centers. After some discussion and the fact the local car inspector had approved the car for loading he finally allowed the movement. So before loading inspect the car for positive camber. I have not seen the written rules for the allowable reverse camber but as that car inspector almost rejected the load this is worth considering.

Apparently those kids who crawled all over them made the mayor or whoever den them a public Nuisance, I would now think twice about a railroad running through.. in and out of Stillwater. If it were me personally I would leave stillwater high and dry without any rail connection what so ever, whether it be bnsf , up.n or some short line rr Co. if they lobby to have one I would tell them they had their chance.
just my opinion.

Stillwater, MN was served by three railroads, Northern Pacific, Chicago Northwestern, and Milwaukee Road. It is now served by none and it has been this way for years.

The nearest RR is the UP (CNW) in Bayport, MN several miles south of Stillwater.

These are 2 engines that I never thought would avoid the scrappers. Glad to see Iowa Pacific stepped up to the plate with the money and effort to get the job done!
