Kelly... Curious to what you used to check the diameter of # 90's tires when they were being turned on the wheel lathe? It's amazing to me that you were able to get all sets within .005 of each other. You have a very talented shop down there....

So a "slow leak of oily lead" is lead that didn't solidify? Or was the cavity partially full and with the shifting it carved away pieces of lead each time?

I don't know if you picked out a name for the above mentioned passenger car, but when it was at the WK&S, some people referred to it as the "Somerset" as that was were it was located before the railroad got it. So if you are looking for a name, I nominate " SOMERSET".

The superheater unit bolts have a center on the T end. Is that just a center for turning and threading or does the round stock thread into the T section? As usual Strasburg updates are the high point in reading these RR posts.

Somerset would be a good Pennsylvania-connected name for the B&O car.

If it was built for the B&O, rather than an acquired line, then another possible name would be Daniel Willard, President of the B&O in 1911.
