A singer-songwriter-musician I know has had some of her albums from the 1970s reissued on CDs. One of these went out of print, and a used-record dealer was asking about $160 for a mint-condition copy. Of course, my friend wouldn't see a penny of that. Brings to mind the painter who dies destitute in an unheated attic dwelling space, and 100 years later his paintings are going for over a million $$$.

Not should she. She got paid for her work already, and isn't entitled to a share of sales in any secondary market.

That is sort of what states do when they tax used car sales - the original owner paid sales tax when they bought it from the new car dealer.

The proof of the all-color hard cover edition has been approved by the publisher, and has gone to press. It should be available in a few weeks.

Any chance when they exist, someone could do a youtube video of someone slowly thumbing through a copy?
I've seen videos like this on amazon and I think it's a great idea. I've even bought a few books off of seeing them that I probably would never have bought online otherwise...
