Just an FYI - Not a sister Shay at all. There is a 2 foot gauge park train at the site with the Biddeford Shay, but the Shay is a standard gauge 37 Ton model versus the 13 Ton Foster Brook 2 foot Shay.

Anyone have information on this Shay being sold in late 2013 and moved in 2014?

Hello all, I see this is a bit of an old post, but I have some news. The Shay just vanished recently, not a word in the papers or from anyone around. It was looking quite shabby a few weeks back when I last saw it, I'd have to guess it moved within the last week. I don't know that anybody bought it.. I figure word would have gotten around about something like that. Does anyone know what became of her?

Actually the Biddeford Shay was moved several months ago to a new home in Virginia.

The Biddeford ME Shay? I took pictures of it just a few weeks ago. Was there another one?

The Shay that was along Route One in Biddeford left Maine in October of 2015 and was sold to a Mr. Harris in Virginia. I am a volunteer at the Seashore Trolley Museum and noticed it leaving back in October.
There is also a thread on RYPN titled Biddeford Shay 918 that discusses the move.

In 5-2013 Will Harris of North Fork Lumber Co., North Fork & Western RR Inc. Goshen VA purchased the Shay as it's #2 and had to delay the move to Goshen, which has apparently happened.
