It is often said that rail enthusiasts are an aging breed, that may eventually dwindle as we pass on. These photos from a recent WINTERRAIL event in California say as much, there being only a few under-50 faces in the crowd.

There are a few of us out there, ya know. Just realize some of us are raising families and can't always make big railfan-type experiences like that. However, now that Jason and the guys at OC were nice enough to have that cab-ride drawing that my wife won on CP #1293 last october, I will definitely have a better shot than I did. Cab ride + soot-covered wife= happier railfan marriage. Heh Heh.
