We bought our last #2 shovel from MSC, Part #49699986. However, when I last checked they were showing that as unavailable. We only bought one to see if it would be suitable. It is the Razor-Back model referred to in another post and is of good quality. Perhaps they will get some more in the future. They do still show a #6 in stock.

I also found this one: Union Tools which appears to be in stock.

We now have a #2 Razorback in our possession purchased off Amazon. Interestingly, the packing slip said Union Tools. Both are a division of Ames. In the event this shovel proves durable enough, we may have a line on them locally. Thanks to everyone for their response.

Greetings:
Well, McMaster-Carr came through!
We returned the scoops with plastic handles telling them that they were unusable, they have replaced them with scoops with the wood/steel handles.
