I don't understand what you're saying here - do you believe the B&O Museum wouldn't want an AEM7 or it doesn't fit it's collection policy? Not of B&O, or "B&O family" (WM, C&O), heritage. End of discussion, as far as I can tell.

The non-B&O-family equipment there--including a former NYC round-end observation, ex-PRR passenger cars, and a switcher, are considered expendable, "consumable" rolling stock to wear out on the excursions. The ex-MARC cab 7100 is former B&O F7A 293A. The B&O Museum had a GG1 donated to it years ago by a local railfan who underwrote most of the cost; that GG1 is now in Green Bay, Wisconsin, having been deemed "surplus" by the Museum.

Now, had they been offered one of the MARC rebuilt diesels that originally was a B&O GP40.......

Just a follow up, Chessie painted side window caboose numbered C-3842, marked built 2-75, RF&P, was installed in Bowie this week. Interior has been restored as well as exterior.

Information from photos taken by others and from closed Facebook groups. Sorry, don't have permission to share the photos at this point. If there is an interest, I can ask if I can post some photos.

GG1 4876 is still stored near the B&O RR Museum. The GG1 in Green Bay is another one entirely.

Yes.

The B&O Museum formally accepted, then deaccessioned, 4890, the one Balto. Streetcar Museum and Balto. Chapter NRHS founder George Nixon spearheaded a drive to acquire and place at the B&O Museum. That's the one at Green Bay now.

The 4876 is not part of the B&O Museum collection as of yet; to my knowledge it has never been formally accessioned, and in my opinion it's only still sitting there because no one has yet had the temerity to shove it a couple hundred feet away to the scrapper nearby in the middle of the night...........

MARC 7100, in spite of extensive car body modifications is, in fact, a former B&O F7.

They gladly accepted my check in 1992 to move it from NJ to the museum...
