Cruising around Google Earth I stumbled Upon A Pike Pass they started following it and seeing the bike path ended and it turned into dilapidated railroad tracks I continue following it across the Massachusetts Connecticut border when suddenly the tracks are not so dilapidated, in fact brand new concrete ties are in place. On a Google Street View where there's a Crossing you can even see concrete ties piled up. Here's where it gets weird no sooner are there fixed up tracks the tracks go back to being abandoned and dilapidated 41.970193,-72.516051 also think I found an abandoned train station 41.940933,-72.524313 anyone have any idea what's going on?

Here is a discussion thread from 2008-2015 that may provide some answers:

The line in question is the ex-NYNH&H Armory Branch, now operated by Central New England RR but originally the Springfield & New London RR/Connecticut Central RR, built in 1876.
