The late Dick Hall was a big fan of this engine. He was from Cecil County, Maryland and knew her from her days operating at the Perry Point VA Hospital. From what Dick conveyed to me, she was built for stock with export to Cuba in mind. The export never happened and she was sold to the government and operated at Perry Point for some number of years before moving on.

The OCW coaches were still languishing on a siding near Berlin in 1985 when this photo was taken from the window of a special trip to Snow Hill.

Notice the residential type of widows fitted into the OCW cars. This was done because of the mosquitos which will ruin anything outdoors in nature on the Del-Mar-Va.
