Folks,
I just watched a video on U-tube showing the delivery of two riveted steel cars from the defunct Kettle Morain tourist railroad to the part of the Virginia & Truckee Railroad still owned by Robert Grey.

Does anybody know of a roster of the KM? Or what the history of these two steel cars are?

I would like to add them to my roster of the modern Virginia & Truckee Railroad.

According to an old thread they are ex-Lackawanna. See:

Indeed, 2 ex Lacawanna "Boonton" coaches. Built probably in the 1914-1915 range. There also is a 3rd Lackawanna Coach on the current V&T which is a Boonton that was rebuilt in the 1930:s into an Electric MU Coach for the Lackawanna, with enclosed vestibules which the V&T cut down some to open up its platforms to passengers.

The ex CNJ ombine that was on the KM went to the Santa Fe Southern, to join at least one other CNJ coach on that railroads roster.

About 1.5 track miles of KM 60# rail was purchased by the WW&F Railway Museum in Alna, ME. We'll be using it to further extend our mainline track.
