McCloud River RR No. 8, here in an old photo. This engine is on display today at Ione, Cal., last used by the Almanor RR as No. 7.

And sister No. 9. This one later worked on the Yreka Western, the Amador Central and the Nezperce RR, and operated on the Kettle Moraine in Wisconsin until recently.
The No. 8 actually operated on the Amador Central also, not the Almanor, which is farther north in California.
