I had wanted to come down for Blues and BBQ, but finances and an elderly vehicle intervened. I was just curious on how you guys are getting along without me. (Judging from the infamous "drill press unpleasantness," I imagine much better.) Anyhow, Dave, Lou, Rudd, Angel, Clappy, Chris, I'd love to hear from you if you get a chance.

Clappy is now again married and back home in Kiwiland.

Rudd and Angel tied the knot, Angel is still working at the RH while Rudd architects.

Vago has gone back to PA and is applying to grad schools.

Lou recovering from knee surgery.

Jason Sobczynski from SERM moved to Savannah to start full time work in railroad preservation.

Lots of building work moved everything out of the shops area of the RH for a few weeks. Still not back yet. Acquired a Davenport 4 wheeled siderod diesel with a cracked and frozen block, and a nice Burro crane. GOAT performs flawlessly as always, and the GP35 is again up and running.

COLUMBUS - the car that should have been scrapped - is now undergoing a major upfit. It will be adaptively reused inside as a meeting room, with some of the staterooms restored as best as possible. Business car ATLANTA has been donated but not yet brought in, to make a nice time line C of G office car collection what with CRRB2, Columbus and Atlanta.

Still waiting for the NS / City deal for the track and land to be closed so we can start laying track and running trolleys.

Sorry you missed a nice trip south. Don't be a stranger. Still good pizza and beer at Vinnies evry Sunday evening.
