This past weekend, two very nice young ladies, who are regular riders of our caboose train operation (their young children just "love trains") made a very nice donation to our museum. It was the March 1946 issue of TRAINS MAGAZINE in very nice condition. One of the articles in that issue was of a trip by Linn Westcott over the Erie Railroad. There were a number of photos of the Erie included with the article BUT what caught our eye at the museum was a black and white reproduction of what apparently is a painting of an Erie 2-8-2 taking orders at the North Judson, Indiana depot at night! Since our museum is located in North Judson on the right-of-way of the old Erie, you can understand our interest. The photo/painting was credited to a C. G. Gibb whose address was given as 6547 S. Union Avenue in Chicago, Illinois.

This is the first we have heard of Mr. Gibb but would like to know if he or his paintings might still be around. Obviously we would like in particular to know if the "Erie Mike at North Judson" painting still is in existance.

Does anyone know anything about Mr. Gibb or his painting(s)?
