Crawford Notch station- 1969 *PIC*

Built in 1891, the "Queen-Anne" style Crawford notch depot was looking a bit dilapidated at the time of this photo in 1969.

And today, as I tried to stand as close as possible to the location of the 1969 photo, after a beautiful restoration.

Old 1960s shot of when freight trains still plied the route. Many freights required pushers for the steep grade out of Bartlett, NH.
