Friends,

I'm interested in finding a source that can manufacture railroad hat badges; conductor, trainman, etc...

Thanks in advance,

Maybe it won't work out. But maybe seeing if it does will be the best adventure ever.

Generic badges (Conductor, Brakeman, Trainman etc.) show up on EBay often.New-stock ones can be bought from Gifts For Rails and Field and Flower online, both offer Conductor/Trainman hats also. Sundance Pin Company produces custom badges for a number of scenic railroads.

Sundance Marketing has made gorgeous custom hat badges. Contact Larry Hodson at larry@sundancepins.com.

These folks made them for Canadian Pacific and Canadian National. They can custom make you whatever you want, if you order enough of them.

Good luck.

Have you tried a compeny that specializes in trophies and awards? They usually have the know how and how to engrave and print on metal surfaces. Best of all they are cheap and are used to small orders.

An example of Sundance's recent work. Doubt a trophy guy could make this:

I think the minimum run is about 50, but they are only about $5 bucks a piece. If this is for a tourist railroad, you could easily sell them for twice that in the gift shop and make your money back,.
