Inside view of a typical rectangular "roundhouse" in the UK, where the turntable was totally enclosed in the structure. In the UK, I think the Barrow Hill engine Shed is the last of these. There are two others in Canada, both in Ontario.

The Canadian version of the square house, at Sault St. Marie, Ontario. Turntable is inside the building.
