NYC 10433 "San Francisco Bay" has been found again. Up for sale on Ozark Mountain Railcar in their upcoming auction on 12/2/2015. Sitting at Chanute, KS next to the SKO (Watco). Unsure who the current owner is. Richard Longpre bought it in 95 after VIA retired these. $1000 staring bid, and according to OMR it is interchangeable.

The #8514 has been renumbered to MRLX #466 and placed in lease service to Iowa Pacific in IC Chocolate & Orange (I'm assuming this is a vinyl application over the stainless). Ted, I beg to differ on this; many, if not most of the cars that wound up as MOW or mechanical dept storage cars, scattered around the Northeast Corridor area, retained the NYC lettering and solid dark gray body, until they met their demise (usually scrapped on site).

Found this photo of one of the Budd 10-6 Sleepers on RRPA, anyone know which car this is?

That's the Lebanon Valley in Bellevue, OH. Sold to a guy quite a few years ago who shipped it to Bellevue, had it taken apart, and then lost interest in the project. And so it sits. One of the few NYC 10-6 sleepers - Budd or Pullman-Standard - left on the planet.

NYC tavern-lounge 41 has been repatriated to the United States, and is now owned by a private individual and is at the Austin Steam Train Assn. yard in Cedar Park, TX where its owner is restoring it for probable use on the excursion train.

I wasn't able to get any exterior photos when I was down, but its owner is a good friend and I'll try to get a few next time I'm down that way.

NYC Baggage 9180 was among the cars at Colonie, NY, reported all scrapped in the last two weeks. Car was in fair condition with original interior and very restore-able. Former NRHS Mohawk-Hudson Chapter collection IIRC. History would make more sense as that listed for car 9181 by Ted B above, as this car (9180) clearly was never repainted past NYC Gray and was the only NYC bag in Colonie. Photos taken 2/20/15.

THAT is a really, really interesting find, and is a car I did not know about. That is the dining room half of a twin unit diner. There were 9 of those built, and based on process of elimination, that may be the former NYC 404, built in 1947.
