Here is a framed santafe 51 from Alco back in the day. Is there proper name for this type of picture from foundry to Rail road who buys the locomotive ?

It came from downtown Schenectady , NY , perfect location

A large camera was used when making this style of photograph. The film negative it's self was very large (ALCO's were about 7 X 24") I know the correct size, but don't have it handy at the moment. They were contact printed directly onto the printing paper. They were intended to be framed and given as a "Presentation" photograph given to various RR Officials.
Baldwins Presentation prints measured 12 X 20 " and Lima's were 7 X 17 and 8 X 20" In the early days these were glass plate negatives and later were film. Towards the end of steam Lima had color lithographs of the SP Daylights and GTW Streamlined 4-8-4;s Baldwin had color diesel prints with some very rare steam images, and ALCO had color of it's diesels with a few steam thrown in.
The early Baldwin's are beautiful,well framed sepia toned and very sharp ! I have always admired the beautuful workmanship of the Locomotive Builder's and their pride was reflected in these quality prints !
