Welp, it's finally happened. The news recently broke that Soo Line 2719 has officially reacquired by the Lake Superior Railroad Museum! Here's a link to an article about the whole affair: https://wqow.com/news/top-stories/2019/ ... F26rwJcJ8E

I wonder if there is another pesky buy back clause like last time, and if the town will still have to pay storage for the time the locomotive was sitting at the museum since the buyback a year ago.

No back agreements this time. In exchange for selling the engine to LSRM, the Museum forgave the past storage fees, so it is the Museum's free and clear this time with no buyback provisions.

Finally ,there are no back agreements no lease, 2719 is now in the LSRM collection 100%

With the 643 safe and 4014 on the road in Arizona the end of the year was good

I think 2719 would be a good fit in the LRSM collection

Great Northern RR No. 1 (4-4-0)
Northern Pacific RR No. 1 (Minnetonka)
Duluth & Northeastern No. 28 (2-8-0)
Northern Pacific No. 2435 (2-6-2)
Duluth & Northern Minnesota RR No. 14 (2-8-2)
Minnesota Steel No. 7 (0-4-0T)
Soo Line 2719 (4-6-2)
Duluth, Missabe & Iron Range RR No. 227 (2-8-8-4)

Now only the sharknose and the CP 5361 (2-8-2) would be a concern for me
