Perhaps the reason the WW&F has not used Monson No. 3 is there has been no need for a second engine.

There were plenty of days where they had both steam and diesel in use since the article came out - whereas before they'd have both steamers running.

Monson #3 was under steam at the WW&F during Fall Work Weekend (Oct 12, 13.)
Since then, Wayne is correct - there has been no need to run Monson #3 as the WW&F's primary operating season is over.
