First of all, my profound thanks to all those who've supported and encouraged the operation of steamlocomotive.info in the past. Your help is needed again.

Our family has no way to pay for the continued hosting of steamlocomotive.info. I actively considered selling www.steamlocomotive.info to an interested party, but am unable in good conscience to do this. There are so many things that need updated/modified/enhanced on the site that I don't consider it saleable at this time.

I estimate that it will take me 6 months to a year to make all the changes, enhancements and such that are need to secure the sites future.

We have unpaid hosting bills that accrued while I was sick in February and March. Our present situation is this: we owe about $200 in back bills and will need about $500 to pay for the next year of hosting. ALL donations will be applied to the cost of hosting www.steamlocomotive.info.

Oh and since February, I've survived Covid-19, Influenza B, and pneumococcal pneumonia (though not at the same time). I am recovering nicely and feel sure that I could win a wrestling match with a four week old kitten.

Do us a favor.

Write up a "resume" or "grant application" from your end making the case for sponsorship or donation.

A few paragraphs or something that some of us can take to a non-profit's BOD and say "we should give this resource some financial support, like a challenge grant or the like to get them halfway there........

And certainly make the case, if you can, for what can be added with more money, like an upgrade to the server software or whatnot.

The price may have to include, for example some small "We thank {The XYZ Society} for their support in 2010-2011 fiscal year!" tribute on the home page........

And if someone would do it for RyPN so we can upgrade it to a more functional website, I have some ideas on possible donors to petition for that as well.

I have gone to certain folks screeching "WHY ARE WE NOT FUNDING THIS?!?!?" before, and I can do it again.......

Thank you, thank you everyone! Our hosting bill is now paid through January 1st, 2023! No further donations needed. I will be announcing some work, new features under development and a host of bug fixes shortly.
